Academic Advising


Academic advising is an important part of your student journey. Whether you have questions about program requirements, course planning, academic policies, or your progress toward graduation, we're here to help connect you with the right resources and support.

The School of Health Sciences has numerous advisors available to support students.

A variety of issues can fall under the category of academic concerns.Ìý If you are experiencing difficulties with coursework or your overall workload, the academic advisor is a good person to approach for suggestions about what kind of help may be useful and where you can find it.Ìý Tackling academic challenges early is key to success in your program of studies.

Please contact the Program Coordinator & Advisor for:

  • Discussion of problems that affect your academic performance (e.g. study habits, work schedules, personal issues, time management, etc.)
  • Support in selecting electives
  • Concerns related to academic status (probation, suspension, etc.)
  • Referrals to services such as tutoring, math and writing labs
  • Assistance on interpretation of University, Faculty, and School policies and regulations
