91¶ÌÊÓƵ’s third annual Engagement Day brought faculty and staff together on May 8th for a full day of presentations, workshops and discussions centered on the future of the university and the communities it serves.

A transformative food innovation project led by Vasantha Rupasinghe at 91¶ÌÊÓƵ Faculty of Agriculture has been awarded $300,000 through Research Nova Scotia’s inaugural Ear to the Ground (E2G) competition.

It was an evening of tradition and camaraderie as close to 100 Barley Rings were presented to members of the Class of 2026 during the 16th annual Barley Party Thursday, April 9th.

The Bridge Competition, led by Senior Instructor Chris Nelson (BA, BSc), is more than a test of strength. It’s part of a broader effort to bring young students onto campus, introduce hands-on learning, and encourage new ways of thinking.

As Earth Day wrapped up, the impact of the event was visible across campus. Cleaner pathways, fewer overlooked items, and a renewed sense of care for the space that so many call their own.
