Tuesday’s Bicentennial Launch offered a journey through 91¶ÌÊÓƵ’s 200-year history, with the poetry of George Elliott Clarke as its guide. Featuring artistic talents from across the Dal community, the event was a showcase of the university’s two centuries of achievement with an eye towards its promising future.

Dr. Michael DeGagné, the first Indigenous president of a Canadian chartered university, will be presented with a 91¶ÌÊÓƵ honorary degree at a special ceremony next Monday (February 5) at the Mi’kmaw Native Friendship Centre in Halifax — the first of several degree presentations to take place throughout Dal's bicentennial year.
